I'll be in Cheyenne in 2 years.......

Sorry. I'd love to help. It's really easy to do. I took off the intake. Didn't change out gaskets either. Just don'd tear the ones you have in there and all will be fine. Go for the blue spring mod as well since you'll be taking the oil and fuel bowl off. I did that and the banjo bolt mod with the EGR delete. Many go for the oil cooler too. I now have mine out and have to swap the screen under it. Otherwise you should be good to go.

Good luck and post if you have issues.

Dave

I followed Lukes advice and left the intake in, just loosend it and pryed it up a little. I'm glad I did it that way. I had only a minor problem getting the gas cooler loose from under it but I still think it was the simplest way to go. Taking out the up-pipe and the heat shields back there first will make it easier to remove the gas cooler. I would like to help too but you'll be done before I can get there. Good luck to you!

The passenger uppipe must be removed prior to getting the cooler out. I usually remove all of the intake boult on the passenger side and push them down to hold the gasket from moving. Loosen all the driverside bolts way up as well. There is a little tab that holds the coolant line next to the alt, that needs bent up. Once everything is loose (and turbo removed) pry up on the intake from the passengers side. While holding pressure. And prying the intake up (and with the cooler bolts removed) take and smack straight down on the cooler to release it from the oring. With the intake pryed up, the cooler will have some where to go.

Then install the delete and reverse the taking apart process.

I say attack it yourself. Plenty of pics, writeups and help on these forums to get anything done.

Pay my way there, have a room for me to sleep in with some hot horney female stranger to keep me warm at night and I'll get it done for you. Just don't tell my wife.

Dave
