Default high idle mod

hey guys im not sure if this is where to post this but hope it is. i got an 06 f350 with a 6 speed and upfitter switches. i did some research and by connecting one of the two wires ( all orange or purple with grrem stripe) above the emergency brake to one of the switches that it would hold rpms at 1200. well i found the 4 upfitter wires behind the fuse block and the two wires i stated above. i tryed them both and nothing work. Am i missing something? any ideas?

Blue-gray wire with yellow stripe and the white with blue stripe for the later models? IIRC. I do remember the colors are different on the 03-04. Parking brake may have to be set on the manual transmission rigs for it to function.
