Default Post-Fuel Pump Filter Setup

Lookin into ordering my ITP regulated return very soon. I want to do the bowl delete while I'm at it. What are you guys using for a post pump filter setup? I might do a Wahlbro pump at the same time for the extra $100.

Is it worth going to 1/2" lines post pump to the regulator? I am only planning on reaching the 400-450 range in the future. Am I better off just leaving the stock lines for now and upgrading later on once I get the injectors and turbo put in?

Nathan the stock fuel lines will handle 400-450. I believe you are also planning on something like an Airdog in the future which will be of further benefit.

You can put the new fiilter post pump and be ready to go. Use the existing lines as much as possible.

On the Walbro, I think I have had one for around a year +-, and can see at WOT with my setup I am dropping from 65 lbs to around 50. I cannot feel any performance issues. Jody and I just live fine tuned and am getting better performance than before so don't think the pump is any problem yet. I will swap this pump out with my new spare and see if I still have the drop and let you know. We are al wondering how long they will last.

This is going to be a fine enhancement to your truck.

I have an airdog, which comes stock with 1/2" fuel lines. I ran the Airdog from the tank to the Walbro, then bought more 1/2" lines and ran that from the other end of the Walbro to a Wix filter base, then out and up to the fuel bowl delete block. I used a Baldwin BF7633 2 micron filter. I have not had any issues (well ok, not with fuel delivery anyway).

I am running all 3/8 line on mine with a bit of pressure drop now. I think the pumps getting old and the filters might need changed.

I have a 2 micron Baldwin in front of my pump, but tomorrow it's getting yanked! Too much restriction, I think. I'll put another 12 or a 5 micron on most likely.

The stocker is a 2 micron right?

IIRC the stock fuel bowl is also a water separator.....if I don't have an airdog on yet and I delete the factory fuel bowl, is water going to be an issue?

Yes the stocker is 2 micron. I am not sure what happens without a water seperator as I had the Airdog before bowl delete. Here is a picture of how I did my filters. What I like is they are on the inside of the frame and up out of the way. I made the bracket that mounts on the back of the Airdog.

Did any of you reuse the stock hard lines at the motor? If so, how did you connect the supply and return lines to the regulator/fuel feed?
