How many people you guys barbeque for?

Couple of months ago, 4 of us BBQ'ed tritip and chicken for a buddy's 60th birthday serving 165. Last weekend 4 guys same menu for 150 at another buddys retirement party. This weekend just 50 (two cooks) with Tritip, chicken, ribs and some stirfry (for a couple of vegetarians).

Have a kettle BBQ made out of a 100 gallon water tank trailer mounted and a crankup grill 4x6 also trailer mounted.

During the two month deer hunting season we do dinner for 40-80 every Saturday night for the club members, family and the landowners, different menu every weekend, salmon, boneless ribeye, tritip, chicken, venison stew&polenta/risoto, venison, steaks and a whole rotisserie barbequed lamb or pig. At the club theres a pit barbeque big enough for about 60 chicken halfs and an old Wolf Propane range.

Yeah, and we barely manage to get up before the crack of dawn the next day to hunt, too.

We have made several whole hog cookers.... Each cooker will cook 250lb dressed hogs or equivalent last year we had 2 cookers going for the family reunion. One with a 150lb hog stuffed with sour kraut and kielbasa. The hog was done in honey glaze. The other cooker had deer quarters and beer can chickens. We have a very large family. My dad has 9 siblings and 4-6 kids per family and my generation is keeping up with that. We usually have about 200 people when the neighborhood shows up. Good times

The buddy who just retired used to work at a plant that builds industrial woodworking machines so he built a whole hog barbeque using all industrial grade parts for the rotisserie drive, stainless steel firebox and 2x3 square tubing for the frame with all welds ground down so they are invisible just like the plant machinery the company builds. All made from "spare parts".

Its the most awesome BBQ I've ever seen including what the pros use.

There's perks for working at a place for 50 years and being the head engineer after working his way up from the bottom
